Congressional Research Service Reports Now Available on WikiLeaks

According to a recent article published in Internet Law Researcher, WikiLeaks has now made available all of the Congressional Research Service reports published prior to February 2009 – over 6700 in total. The Congressional Research Service is Congress’ analytical agency and is renowned for its non-partisanship and its in-depth analysis of issues. CRS reports cover a wide variety of topics; recent titles include “Afghanistan: Government Formation and Performance,” “Authority of the Senate to Exclude and Not Seat a Senator-Elect or Senator-Designate,” and “Animal Agriculture: 2008 Farm Bill Issues.” A complete list of the CRS reports on WikiLeaks is available at http://wikileaks.org/wiki/CRS_reports_by_date.
For more current CRS reports, Hastings students, faculty and staff should use the Library’s subscription database (listed under “Congressional Research Service” on the Electronic Resources page), which is updated weekly.
