Final Report of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission

The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission has issued its final report. The Commission was created to “examine the causes, domestic and global, of the current financial and economic crisis in the United States.” President Obama established the Commission in May 2009. Since then the ten person bipartisan committee interviewed more than 700 witnesses and reviewed millions of pages of documents. The final report presents the Commission’s findings and conclusions as well as many dissenting views.

CA Legislative Index & Table of Sections Affected Now Available Online

Leginfo.ca.gov, the official California Legislative Information website, now has PDFs of the Legislative Index and Table of Sections Affected from 1999 through 2010. Use the Legislative Index to locate bills by subject; the interactive PDF includes links to the various versions of the bill, the analyses, voting records, and the complete history. Use the Table of Sections Affected to determine the effect of recently passed legislation. The Table indicates which sections of the California Constitution, codes, and uncodified laws were affected by measures introducted in the legislative session.
